e hetrickE Hetrick Jackson is working on a graphic novel project with a small but mighty team, based on their collective experiences as women with disabilities that were once part of the same public school district. They will work with the team to co-author, illustrate, and publish a graphic novel that sheds light on “Triple Jeopardy” high school students in today’s public schools. Since the project’s 2014 inception, E and the team have generated ideas, interviewed “Triple Jeopardy” students, researched, and sketched in a labor of love. They will help to merge the research, memoirs, and triumphs into a graphic novel that will be offered online, free and accessible to everyone. SBMA funding will help to purchase 2-D art mediums to illustrate the project.
